My Office

Ugh..what a dreaded project: my home office. I've been working on this thing since we moved in several months ago, and I just haven't been able to gather up the energy to make larger strides to get it done, well, last weekend was finally that time. David and I trekked over to West Sacramento and finally were able to gather enough courage to walk into the daunting place that is called IKEA. Now we both love IKEA, and what it has to offer, but lets be honest, it's a lot to take in in a day of shopping, and you're pretty much forced to see a lot of stuff that you never intended to look at, which creates the temptation to reason buying it..we refrained successfully.

We ended up leaving with a coffee table and 2 end tables (Lack style). The coffee table was $19.99 and the end tables were $7.99 ..once put together, I was actually really impressed by how great they look for the price. We also bought several picture frames, a clock, a few lamps, a glass memo board which is very modern and very stylish...my favorite purchase were my 2 black hanging shelves which are so stunning against my baby blue painted wall. I know there are several more items that were purchased, but they're just too small to mention. This project is still in process, and I hope to add some more antique pieces so the room can really speak to my eclectic style -more to come.
